Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church in Kensington!
We are located in the Fishtown neighborhood of historic Kensington.
Pastor - Rev. Shawn Hyska
Sunday Worship - Every Sunday at 10:30am
Wednesday Night "Full Tilt" Bible Study - 7:00pm
Bible Study is a time when we gather as a community to read and study God's word together. We come with our questions. We come with our curiosities. We come bringing all of who we are. This is a time of conversation, not one of lecturing or teaching. We all dive in together discerning how God is speaking to us today. Come and join us one Wednesday.
Upcoming Special Events:
Papal Weekend Events:
As the city closes roads and shuts down with Pope Francis’ upcoming visit, we at First Presbyterian Church (“First Presby”) are doing the opposite - we are opening our doorsto ensure that families in the neighborhood have activities to attend.
Saturday, September 26th – Free Community Play Day – 4-6pm
Earlier in 2015 the Fishtown Playschool won these amazing imagination playground blocks and in partnership with the church the Playschool is making the blocks available to use for community families on Saturday, 9/26 from 4-6pm – BYO water bottle and snacks will be provided.
Sunday, September 27th - Papal Mass on the big screen – 3:30pm
With Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia this is a historic occasion for all of Philadelphia and we went to share it with our entire Fishtown community.
